It's been very busy everywhere, but I thought I should let you know about some ways to learn about the candidates for local office, in addition to those I sent out earlier. Here are my last two newsletters with information: Forums and Labor Day.
Green and Open Somerville got responses from two candidates for mayor, Katjana Ballantyne and Jake Wilson.

TOMORROW, Oct. 16: School Committee Candidates Forum - 6:30 to 8:30pm, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Boston and the Cambridge Unit (Central Square Branch Library, 45 Pearl St.) All are welcome to attend this event, which will include light refreshments. CCTV will record and make this event available on their website.
TUESDAY, Oct. 21: Harvard Community City Council Candidate Forum, 6:00-8:00pm (Harvard Science Center, Hall D) - open to all Harvard affiliates and the broader Cambridge community
THURSDAY, Oct. 23: City Council Candidates Forum - sponsored by YWCA Cambridge and CEOC, 7 Temple St. [YWCA Building], 6:00-8:00pm, doors open at 5:30pm [flyer]
FRIDAY, Oct. 24: Climate & Environmental Justice Cambridge City Council Candidates Forum (350 Mass, Mothers Out Front, Elders Climate Action, Sierra Club, CREW, and Green Cambridge) - 7:00pm-8:30pm via Zoom

The Medford Democratic City Committee will host two candidate nights ahead of the Nov. 4 Election. All candidates running for mayor, the School Committee and the City Council have been invited to participate.

SOMERVILLE
MONDAY, Oct. 20: The Somerville Beacon and the Somerville Media Center will host two debates in the races for councilors-at-large and for mayor on Oct. 20 from 6–8:30 p.m. (with the doors opening at 6:00 p.m.). The debates will be held at the Crystal Ballroom in the Somerville Theatre. The at-large debate will run from 6–7 p.m., followed by the mayoral debate at 7:30 p.m. Somerville Media Center will record and rebroadcast the debates at a later date.
